Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Grants

On occasion, the Desert Museum awards grants to other institutions, organizations and individuals.

Indirect Cost Rate Policy:

The indirect cost rate on grants from the Desert Museum is generally no more than 10%.

The exception is when the grant is a sub-award of a larger project with a specified indirect cost rate with dedicated funds to cover the indirect costs.

As a non-profit without the resources to establish a federally-approved Indirect Cost Rate, and whose indirect cost rate for grants received is therefore limited to 10%, this is the maximum the Museum can afford to pay on grants or gifts awarded.
